Recommended resources for expecting & new parents
This is my favourite website for finding scientific and eveidence-based information regarding pregnancy, birth, infant feeding and more. It's a great place to start when you're faced with one of the many decisions throughout pregnancy & postpartum. It's also a great resource to turn to if you need information on a specific topic and don't wish to flip through books trying to find it.

This book honestly changed the way I look at breastfeeding. I discovered it during my doula training (after having extremely difficult breastfeeding journeys with all 3 kids) and if I could recommend only one breastfeeding "must-have" this would be it! It's filled with not just experiance-based information but evidence-based information that's proven to help you succed. I'd give anything to go back and have this when I was trying to breastfeed, which is why I have to on hand to lend to clients in need.
Ovia Fertility & Ovia Pregnancy Apps
Fantastic mobile apps to follow along with your trying to conceive or prenatal journey. You can find out if a symptom you're feeling is normal, get in-depth information about where you are in your journey and track all your information regarding your health.
If you are having ANY breastfeeding struggle, the La Leche League website is a great first step. They have quality, evidence-based advice on dozens of topics; including adoptive breastfeeding, birth control (and other medications) while breastfeeding, mastitis and more.
Global Health Media has some of the best informative videos on birth, breastfeeding and infant care. All of their videos are evidence-based and inclusive. I highly recommend them!
Mama Natural's Guide to Childbirth
BY: Genevieve Howland
The book is the absolute best pregnancy guide, in my personal opinion. It's one of the only pregnancy guides that approaches things from a more holistic and natural perspective. It has great week by week tips & tricks, a recipe to try every week (that may just help with some of the symptoms you've been experiencing) and even advice for preparing for childbirth and breastfeeding. I always have a copy ready to lend out for clients who wish to give it a flip through.
An amazing website to find endless information that can help you throughout you trying to conceive journey. They provide excellent evidence-based information on herbs, supplements, and treatments. You can also receive great advice from highly accredited professionals on all things reproductive. If you are currently T.T.C. (trying to conceive) or have questions about your reproductive health, I highly recommend starting here!
